SOL

Launched: 2016
Editions: SOL 0 & SOL.1 WON

Created by Central Saint Martins graduate JYONG KEEM (@jyongkeem) in 2016. SOL is a “curated platform that investigates the contemporary scenario through a selection of text, art pieces and photographs... Creating a bridge between Eastern and Western culture.” The latest issue explores the concept of currency through works by photographer CHO GISEOK (@chogiseok), fashion designer Goom Is Watching You, and many others. Our favorite feature is the editorial starring elderly booksellers from Busan’s Bosu-dong district.

MANNALO

Launched: (TBA)
Editions: VOL.01 Foreigners Who Live in Seoul

ERINA TANAKA (@i.mannalo.you) from Japan, has worked as a graphic designer for Korea-based publications such as OH BOY! Magazine since 2015. Her perception of a lack of more substantial representations of Korean lifestyle in Korean travel guidebooks led her to creating MANNALO Magazine, titled after the Korean phrase 만나러 간다 mannalo kanda which means “I’m going to see you.” Current Seoul residents from all over the world will be profiled in the upcoming debut issue. The magazine will be sold in Japan.

PS: In case you were wondering, MUTZINE 03, will be released for free and digitally just in time for the Spring/Summer 2019 season!
